Grand Central releases schedule for its Little Grandies program

Grand Central is once again scheduling regular children’s activities throughout the year under its Little Grandies program, and have released the dates of its February events.

Grand Central Marketing Executive Julie Thompson said along with bigger activations hosted by the centre for children in the school holidays, the centre wanted to provide activities for young children who aren’t yet at school.

“It’s nice for parents and grandparents to be able to bring the kids along to events held at the centre during the week.  It gives them and the children the opportunity to participate in a fun activity, along with socialising with other families.”

Regular programming includes:

  • Cleo The Clown – Children can join Cleo the Clown at Grand Central’s Tiny Town for a morning of learning and laughter.  Through the use of puppets, props, music and movement, Cleo brings to life educational topics for children in a fun & quirky way.  Location:  Opposite Goodlife Health Club on Level 2.  Cost:  Free.

  • QBD Storytime – Join QBD Books at Grand Central’s Tiny Town for a reading of a popular children’s book.  Location:  Opposite Goodlife Health Club on Level 2.  Cost:  Free.

  • Mini Making Rainbows Class – Visit Grand Central’s Tiny Town and join in the Making Rainbows music and movement program, guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for children from birth to five years.  Watch your child grow through music, movement and sensory play.  Parents, babies and toddlers (0-4 years) are invited to join a class.  There will be two sessions on each scheduled date, and the sessions go for about 20 minutes.  Location:  Opposite Goodlife Health Club on Level 2.  Cost:  $5 per child.  Book through Eventbrite.

“In addition to the regular programming, we are also hosting some meet & greets with popular children’s characters this year.  Next month we’ll be welcoming Bananas in Pyjamas,” Ms Thompson said.
